Amy’s Pick of the day is in preparation for Valentine’s Day! Two cherubs team up to send an “Affectionate Greeting” in this vintage illustration. Be sure to click on the image first to see the full size image. Then right click (Mac: control+click) and “save to” your computer desktop or a folder of your choice. This process will ensure you get the best quality of the image.

Simply and sweet! Valentine’s Day cards don’t have to be in red. This simply pink and yellow card is created using yellow felt as a backing, pink braided trim and pink checked scrapbook paper. A grommet, pink brads and a ribbon bow finish the look.  (more…)

There are many reasons to make your own Valentine’s Day cards and tags this year.  The practical reasons of saving time and money are always a plus, but the best reason of all may be to give a meaningful gift from the heart. Hand making a Valentine’s Day card for your loved one tells them more than the message written on it. It tells them that you thought enough of them to give time and love to create something personal just for them.  It’s much more meaningful than looking down the row of cards at the local store and picking one out that says what you want to say.
