Amy’s Free Pick for today is great for a variety of projects and themes: Father’s Day, birthdays, sewing and more!  Be sure to click on the image first to see the full size image. Then right click (Mac: control+click) and “save to” your computer desktop or a folder of your choice.  This process will ensure you get the best quality of the image.

Use today’s image in different ways. Crop the image so that it is only the man and use it for a Father’s Day Card, crop the image so that you only see the buttons and use it for a sewing themed project, or use the whole image. If you’re like me - a collector of vintage “stuff” - especially vintage sewing items like buttons, you are also always looking for a way to get them out of the drawer or box they are in and showcased or displayed for all to see.  This fun little project is the perfect way to display your vintage (or favorite modern) vintage buttons.

Vintage Green!

I traveled to the Sew Expo in Puyallup, Washington and found this great collection of notions. The collection of ribbons and stamps was created by Sue Gower of Nifty Thrifty Dry Goods. Sue designed a bracelet that is in our Buttonware Book.
