Designed for The Vintage Workshop by Beth Leintz

This darling miniature quilt was created by designer, Beth Leintz.  These easy to follow instructions will guide you through creating a miniature quilt of your very own

Finished size approximately:  6 1/2″ x 7″

Step 1:  Cut a 7 1/2″ x 8″ panel of off-white muslin with pinking shears.  Cut vintage fabric panel (sample used a pink floral print) approximately 1/2″ smaller on all sides than muslin panel.

Step 2:  Print vintage photo from My Favorite Toys Download Collection and letters on ink-jet fabric and cut out.

Step 3:  Cut strip of floral fabric with pinking shears or a piece of vintage trim (sample used vintage pink floral trim) and adhere across bottom of fabric panel.  Adhere lace trim across top section of fabric panel.  Stitch buttons over trim with embroidery floss.

Step 4:  Adhere vintage photo to batting (cut the same size as image) and stitch to fabric panel with embroidery floss.  Stitch vintage doll dress to panel.  Stitch letters to panel with floss.  Layer fabric panel over batting and set onto piece of muslin.  Fold edges of muslin up and over fabric panel.  Stitch around muslin edges with embroidery floss.  Stitch buttons to corners.  Clip hanger to top of piece.

    Hey Everyone,

Do the question of the day has been - Where do you get the hangers? Well, this one is vintage. So beyond keeping an eye open at estate sales and flea markets - I did some digging and found this great source for you:

Go to Stampington & Company - they have a shoppe called The Shoppe at Somerset. In this online store, I found a similar little clipped hanger that might work for you all. Click here: http://www.stampington.com/html/vintage_designs.html. Now the picture on this page shows the exact one that we used, but that isn’t one that’s for sale.

As a matter of fact, if you put in the words “vintage hanger wire clips” into a google or yahoo search - you get lots of hits. Just try a search and it seems like you can find a lot just like the Stampington ones - the vintage ones might be a little harder to dig up.

    Good luck on your search,
    Cheryl
