Watching Mommy Sew - SI0605

To all of the women out there who have ever:

read a book, tied a shoe, mended a boo-boo, wiped a nose, dried our tears, gave us a hug, taught us a lesson, passed on a tradition, allowed a mistake, picked up the pieces, stood on the sidelines, pushed us ahead, and generally been there for us - be it grandmother, aunt, mother, sister, mentor, co-worker, pastor, cousin, or simply a friend…

We say happy Mother’s Day to you all!!  We couldn’t do it without you. Thanks Mom!!

I’m posting to enter your contest giveaway. What I am growing in my garden is food for the bunnies, squirrels and gophers! They seem to enjoy my crop! But being an intrepid gardener…I keep trying! lol. shirley

Very nice image for Mother’s day. I remember watching my mom sew and also learning to sew from her. My mom passed away 13 years ago in May, so this image is nostalgic for me. Just lovely.

I love this! This picture reminds me of all the times I would sit and watch my mom sew, which was a lot. She is a seamstress, a gardener, a great cook/baker. I am so glad that she taught me to love doing all of those things, which had in turn made me better at all of those things. I love to garden more than anything, baking is my next “fave.” Our focus has shifted to building a garden shed, an enclosure for our two Siberian cats & that leaves less time for the growing of stuff! But we are growing peppers, various types of tomatoes and some herbs…including catgrass for the kitties! Thanks for the chance to win a great prize. Robin.
