It’s the time of year people start thinking of ways to update their living space and clothing. The Vintage Workshop has some simple ways to help you enhance your style.
One quick way is to redress your pillows. This could be bed pillows, decorative couch pillows, throw pillows - you name it. Our sister company, Indygo Junction, has a great pattern available - Pillow Party - IJ843 - to make custom sized (and gives directions for lots of standard sizes too) pillow cases. The fun part, besides picking out fun fabrics and trims, is getting to embellish the pillows with things like ruffles, vintage buttons, applique or iron-on transfers.
Using iron-on transfers can also be used to dress up out-of-date clothing or embellish aprons/smocks.
The Vintage Workshop now offer three new products - all of which are iron-on transfers. Print ‘n Press Iron-On Transfer Sheets - JT-908 is for light colored or white fabrics and is for general use fabrics and papers. Soft ‘n Stretchy - For Dark Fabrics - JT-489 is for dark, stretchy fabrics like t-shirts and other stretchy clothing. Soft ‘n Stretchy - For Light Fabrics - JT-488 is for light colored fabrics and also made for stretchy materials.
These iron-on transfer sheets can be used to print any images from your home computer printer. The sample pillows above used our Playful Puppies Cut-outs multi-image collection images. These images were printed on iron-on transfer paper and then following the manufacturer’s instructions ironed onto the finished pillowcase.
Let these projects below inspire you to create your own iron-on projects. All of the images below can be found at The Vintage Workshop.
