Fabric Contest Over & the Winner is….

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

All I can say is WOW!  Not only at the shear volume of responses to our win a fabric bundle contest but at the overwhelming heartfelt ways everyone out there wants to share, help and general do good for others with them.

I grew up around a mom and grandmother who were always making something - for mom it was sewing and for grandma it was crocheting.  I always knew what kind, generous people they were, but how refreshing to find out that the rumor of apathy and indifference is NOT alive and well in our circle. Creative people thrive on generosity and kindness.

I have found creative people to be those who keep the world turning, look for new ideas to improve the lives of others and share their gifts with the world to make it a better place.  Boy was I right.  Linus projects, quilting and church groups, helping those less fortunate than themselves - they are all there to read about in our comments section.

Also, with the economic state of our country, we can be proud that instead of sitting around and worrying, there are people out there doing something about it by using their own hands.  Creating works of art - whether it’s clothing, purses, quilts, aprons, etc. - to share with others and help ourselves.  It’s the backbone of our American spirit.  I was truly given hope and joy after reading every single comment shared on this blog.

So now on to the good part…and the winner is….

Anne T. from Maryland was the winner of the Tres Chic Fashion Fabric Bundle.

Diane F. from Pennsylvania was the winner of the Mary Frances & Thimble Friends Fabric Bundle.

Thanks so much to everyone that entered and bid on our fabric auctions and pattern auctions on eBay.  Keep an eye on eBay for more fabric, patterns, and other items in the future.  More contests and fun things to come.  Until next time…

And the Winner is…

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment on our blog to enter to win the Asian inspired purse using our vintage imagery.  Several have asked if we sell this purse pattern at Indygo Junction and the answer is YES!  The Naomi Bag, IJ703 is available on our website www.indygojunction.com

Now down to business.  The winner chosen at random from our comments is Barbara L. from Avon Lake, Ohio.  Congrats Barbara!

It was great to be able to read all of the comments from everyone and we are taking into consideration of all of the requests.  Look for new projects coming soon. I also wanted to take a moment to let everyone know due to the amount of spam comments that are sent automatically to post on blogs these days, we do have to approve all comments before they can be posted on our website. So if your comment says waiting for approval, please be patient with us.  A staff member will actually read your comment and then approve for posting.  We welcome all comments!!

Until next time…

Survey Participants - Free Images Correction

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

Hello everyone and a big thank you to those who took the time to participate in our survey. I wanted to touch base regarding some problems encountered with the free image download pdf given for participating.  An error occurred for some people when trying to download the images.

Here’s a sneak peek for everyone of the free images pdf:

Sample of Free Images

Sample of Free Images

There are two ways to fix the problem with the pdf.  The problem is with Adobe Acrobat Reader 6 or 7.  If you upgrade to the newest version of Acrobat which is 9.0, you should have no trouble with your pdf.

The easiest way to solve this problem is to save the pdf after it’s downloaded (even if it looks like a blank page) to your computer. Once saved, you should be able to open it up on your computer and the images will be visible.

We apologize for this problem and hope everyone is able to retrieve their free images.

Thanks so much and look for that next post for the first giveaway!!

Until next time…
